Promotional Tips: Organizing a Concert

When done right, gathering people (aka potential customers) by way of a concert is always a good idea. Why? Because music sells.

Yes it does, so much better than any worldly object.

Organizing a concert to trumpet the opening of your sunglasses store will put you in the right direction. But

before you start contacting different bands you may want to have everything planned out first to avoid any trouble from happening.

Dealing with the right people doesn’t start and end with purchasing wholesale sunglasses. Along the way you’re gonna need the right people to surround you. The same is true when organizing events like a concert.

Scout for a venue. Naturally, you would go for a venue that is just near your store. As much as possible, you want the concert-goers to see your store from the location of the concert. Better yet, you can go for a rather intimate setup and hold the concert inside your store if the space would allow.

Contact the performers. After working on the venue (talking to the owner, setting the date, seeking the necessary permits if any, etc.), you may now gather bands. A good idea would be to get friends as they may agree to perform at a minimal fee, or even for free. Perhaps you can give them discount coupons to show your appreciation.

Hire security. You don’t need an entire battalion. Remember, it’s not a music festival you are trying to organize. If the venue has resident security guards, then good for you. If you are doing it inside the mall, then you won’t have any problem.

You can also hold a concert for your other store events, not just for the opening. Take note of these simple pieces of advice and things will run smoothly. Good luck!
