Business 101: How to Create an Effective Promotional Signage

Notice how popular stores and fashion boutiques put a big sign announcing a big discount sale on their store window.  Have you seen how people rush to their stores to take advantage of it in no time? This is the power of an effective store signage program that big companies have been using to attract more customers and to increase sales. As a small business owner, you too can use this strategy to boost the income of your store.

Emphasize Lowest Price Point

The trick is to invite people to come into your store and buy the items on sale. This can be done by putting signs or posters that emphasize the lowest price point of your product and the terms that goes with the promo. For example, print in big and bold text the phrase “$1 Sunglasses” and the terms of promo “for every $30 purchase” in smaller fonts.

Another example of this is the “Buy one, take one” scheme which allows the customer to get a similar item or something that has similar value with what they purchased for free. Don’t forget to be clear about your terms as to prevent confusing your buyers.

Make a Creative Layout for your signs

If you know a little about lay outing or know someone who does, have your signs designed using Adobe Photoshop or other photo editing software to come up with attractive signs. Making it short and simple can be all that you need. Forego any unimportant text on your signs and communicate only the important things about your promo.

Put signs all over your store

Make sure that people are well informed about your current products or promo by putting informative signage all over your kiosk or cart. You can also consider laminating or covering it with clear plastics before hanging the signs so it can be used for much longer period of time. Change the posters on a timely basis depending on the season or the kind of promo you are having.

Now that we have shared to you some tricks about putting signs in your store, plan a way on how you can implement this in your store. Spring is here and summer is just around the corner.
