Promotional Tips: Holding a Fashion Show

If you are a retail store owner thinking of ways to promote the opening of your store, or perhaps unveil a fresh collection, a fashion show is the way to go. We’ve already showed you how to organize a concert to promote your store. Now here comes what probably is a more sensible idea.

Done searching for the best deals on wholesale sunglasses? Time to give some attention to marketing – organize a fashion show. Here’s how you do it:

The venue

This shouldn’t be much of a problem if your store is big enough to hold some guests. Remember it is just a mini-fashion show you are trying to organize. But, if you want it to be a bigger event with more people, then it’s good too. If you want to hold the show some place else, then by all means, scout for another venue that has bigger space. It would be better if the venue is just near your store.

Hire models

What’s a fashion show without models? You don’t need top models for this one. In fact, you can hire students. They are a lot cheaper, and, come to think of it, they could be your target market so you could be hitting two birds with one stone. You don’t even need to hire professionals to do hair and makeup. The models can do it by themselves.

Hold rehearsal

You don’t need many rehearsals, one is okay. You don’t even need a runway especially if you are holding the show inside your store. A rehearsal is needed so models know their blocking, schedules, and cues, especially if there is music playing.

Advertise!

You may have it all planned well, but all of these will be put to waste if very few people show up at the event. Be sure people know about your fashion show by advertising it in the papers, or perhaps give flyers. The net is always a good, cheap way to advertise so make the most of it. You may send out invitations, too!

Organizing a fashion show can be a bit tricky. A little help from your friends should make things easier.
