Kids Need Eye Protection, Too!

Aside from their awesomeness-inducing capabilities, sunglasses protect us from the sun’s harmful rays and other elements. And choosing the right pair for you can mean the difference between looking smart and looking, well, dumb.

Well, guess what? Kids need just as much protection from the elements as much as you do, perhaps even more, at times when they are out in the sun a lot. Ask any parent what the most important thing in the world is, and chances are you will hear one thing – their kids’ health. Now unless you are some famous celebrity who finds there are far more important things in the world than wearing panties and being in constant guard of your kids’ welfare, listen up.

As much as parents keep their kids’ overall health on top of their list, they still tend to overlook eye health. Truth is, almost half of the parents in the US do not provide their kids with sunglasses when they are out. And before you go running to the wholesale sunglasses section of the department store, you have this to read.

This article aims to change this practice (or non-practice). We absolutely love parents, and for this very reason we want to establish why a pair of sunglasses is a highly essential part of a child’s getup. With prolonged exposure from the sun, serious eye problems can be had by children in the future.

A pair of sunglasses and a hat rise to this call of duty. Sunglasses help prevent the kids from acquiring a number of eye diseases, and that includes cancer. If they really have to be outside without a pair of sunglasses, they need to avoid the period between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. when the sun’s UV rays are most intense.

Unfortunately, a lot of kids don’t like the idea of wearing sunglasses as they can feel a little awkward, especially for the little ones. To have them wear sunglasses most parents buy those cute character sunglasses. But then there are kids who go for sunglasses that are designed for adults as they make them look mature, and as such they want to be treated.

Indeed, children’s health is the most important thing for any parent. We’ll keep you posted on how to make your kids wear sunglasses and what to look for when choosing the right sunglasses for your kids.

Meantime, eye protection just got a whole lot cheaper with our Thanksgiving/Black Friday pre-sale promo. Cheers, everyone!
